The Salvation Army Omaha Advisory Board Names New Chair and Vice Chair

Dave Bishop and Kim Weiss have recently been named chair and vice chair, respectively, of The Salvation Army’s Omaha Advisory Board (www.salarmyomaha.org), which supports the work of the organization in the Omaha metro by providing mission-based leadership and strategic guidance.

Dave Bishop’s involvement with The Salvation Army began in 2011, when he and his wife Linda served as chairs of the D.J.’s Hero Awards Luncheon. Most recently, Bishop served as chair of the Omaha Advisory Board’s social services committee.

Bishop holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wheaton College in Chicago and is president and CEO of Bishop Business Equipment.

Kim Weiss is senior vice president of Corporate Audit Services for First National of Nebraska, Inc. (FNNI) and its affiliates. Weiss joined The Salvation Army’s Omaha Advisory Board in 2014 and most recently served on the finance committee. She also serves on the board for the Omaha Children’s Museum and graduated from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Leadership Nebraska program in 2018.

Weiss graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in Accounting Business Administration from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
