The Hope Center for Kids Announces New Executive Director DeJuan Reddick

The Hope Center for Kids (www.hopecenterforkids.org) is pleased to announce DeJuan Reddick as their new executive director. Only the fourth executive director in the nonprofit’s 23 years of history, he comes to the The Hope Center with years of background in youth programming.

Their founder, the late Pastor Ty Schenzel, always said his dream was that a child who attended The Hope Center would one day return to lead the organization, which is exactly what DeJuan Reddick did. Reddick was a youth member at the Boys Club which later became The Hope Center in the late 90s, making it a true full circle story.

“I’m honored to have been selected for this important role in our community, however the work that is to come – that we’re going to be doing together – is what excites me most right now,” said Reddick.

The Hope Center for Kids is a faith-based after-school and summer program for K-12 students in North Omaha, where an average of 250 members are offered academic support in a fun and safe learning environment. Since 1998, children and youth have received a nutritious meal every weeknight, as well as life-transforming opportunities such as tutoring, college visits and field trips, employment training, sports programs, family events, and more.
