The Board of Directors of the Great Plains Black History Museum has appointed Terri D. Sanders as the Vice President of Marketing and Development. Terri Sanders formerly served as Vice President of the Board of Directors since 2011. Terri will be responsible for Branding of the Museum throughout the City, State and Nationally as well as fundraising activities. A native of Omaha, Terri holds a degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Creighton University which she received in 1978. She has served on the Boards of the Antioch Community Development Corporation, the Christ Child Society and the Sacred Heart CUES Board.
The Great Plains Black History Museum is dedicated to the African American experience on the Great Plains of the United States. The Museum tells the story of the the African American experience on the Great Plains through presentations, programs and exhibits throughout the City of Omaha and the State of Nebraska. The Museum collaborates with other organizations and sponsors a lecture series, school presentations, corporate lectures and library presentations.
