The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Karen Gibler has been selected as its new President. Gibler has been the interim President since mid-October. The Chamber Board of Directors created a search committee in mid-November and began a formal search to fill the President position. After an extensive regional search and selection process, Gibler was chosen by the full Board of Directors from the group of final candidates.
During the last few months Gibler, as the interim President, has done an outstanding job leading the Chamber. Gibler joined the Chamber in January of 2012, as Director of First Impressions, and she was then moved into the Director of Corporate Sponsorships position in August of 2013. Prior to joining the Chamber, Gibler held sales and leadership positions in the telecommunications and fitness industry. Over the past couple of years Gibler has been an integral part of budgeting, membership, events, networking and business development at the Chamber. The positive impact Gibler has made in these areas as well as her vision and ideas for the Chamber going forward was pivotal in the Board of Directors decision to select her for this position.
