MICAH House (www.themicahhouse.org) is pleased to introduce their newest hire Sam O’Brien. A native of Lawrence, KS, Sam joins the team at MICAH House in the role of child program specialist.
After graduating from Wayne State College with her BA in early childhood, Sam worked for many years as an educational specialist working with toddlers at the Child Saving Institute. From there she worked as a director for the Elkhorn Public School Foundation’s after school program.
With her wide variety of child development experience, Sam will be a great asset to MICAH House programming, working closely with families and children. As child program specialist, she will help assess MICAH House children’s developmental needs and connect parents to the right services and care providers. In addition to coordinating family activities at the MICAH House, Sam will also oversee the BUDDY program, ensuring that children, parents, and BUDDY mentors have a great experience.
If you would like to join the BUDDY program or volunteer at a family fun night activity, please reach out to Sam at sobrien@themicahhouse.org.
