During the recent annual meeting at Physicians Mutual, President and CEO Robert A. Reed announced the following promotions and new officers.

Rose Earlywine was promoted to vice president of customer group business operations. Earlywine started with the company in 1978 and earned a management certification from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her professional designations include Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC); Associate, Insurance Agency Administration (AIAA); and Associate, Customer Service (ACS).

Dan Hanus was appointed to assistant vice president of eCommerce. Hanus joined the company in 2012 and earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in computer programming from Southeast Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in business information systems from Bellevue University. He is currently working on his MBA.

Allison Hurt was appointed assistant vice president – pricing actuary. Hurt joined the company in 2000 and received her Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She holds the professional designations of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

Michelle Muirhead was appointed to assistant vice president of government & industry. Muirhead joined the company in 2006 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She holds the professional designations of Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI); Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE); Advanced Market Conduct Manager (AMCM); Associate in Regulatory Compliance (AICP); Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) as well as several other insurance designations.

Betty Qian was appointed to assistant vice president of internal audit. Qian joined the company in 2011 and earned her Master of Accounting and Master of Operational Management & Information System degrees from Northern Illinois University. She holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and Life Office Management Association (LOMA) Level One.

Dave Woods was promoted to vice president – compliance officer. Woods began his career with the company in 1987 and received his Bachelor of Science in secondary education from Northwest Missouri State University. He holds the professional designations of Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI); Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC); and Associate, Customer Service (ACS).
