Parkinson’s Nebraska Welcomes Amber Winter to the Team

Parkinson’s Nebraska (www.parkinsonsnebraska.org) recently welcomed Amber Winter to the team in December as the new administrator. Amber brings a passion for fostering a strong and supportive Parkinson’s community. In her previous role at the YMCA, she witnessed the impact exercise and a strong community made on Parkinson’s patients. She looks forward to growing the Parkinson’s Nebraska community and expanding services across the state.

Her non-profit management education, coupled with her passion to serve, has prepared her to lead Parkinson’s Nebraska. As the only full-time staff member, Amber is responsible for carrying out the board’s vision, facilitating the delivery of services and education, and cultivating partnerships to benefit Parkinson’s patients throughout the state.

Amber is active in the community and currently serves as the youth and family chair for the YMCA Healthy Kids Day and on the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Omaha events committee. She also served as the volunteer coordinator for the Walk and Run the Park for Parkinson’s and volunteered at the You GO Girl Summit, among other community organizations.

Parkinson’s Nebraska is the primary source of education, support, and resources for Nebraskans whose lives are affected by Parkinson’s Disease. They are locally-based, passionate, and proud that all funds stay in Nebraska. To learn more, contact Amber at amber@parkinsonsnebraska.org / (402)-715-4707 or visit www.parkinsonsnebraska.org.
