The Omaha Home for Boys proudly announces the addition of Lori Bechtold as the Home’s new Director of Development. She joined the Home team in early September.

Bechtold’s experience in development includes a track record of success in solicitation of capital, major gifts, annual donations and grant writing. She joins the Home after two years as the executive director for the Heartland Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Prior to her work at JDRF, Bechtold worked in nonprofit development and fundraising as chief development officer for the Women’s Center for Advancement (formerly known as the YWCA), OneWorld Community Health Centers and Charles Drew Health Center.

Bechtold is excited to continue successful fundraising events such as the annual OHB Dunk Tank in May that raises money as part of Omaha Gives!, the Home’s annual OHB Golf Classic in June and its signature fundraising celebration in September while implementing new opportunities to raise awareness and connections within the community.

Serving youth in our community for 95 years, Omaha Home for Boys (www.omahahomeforboys.org) is a resource in the community, offering support and stability while working in collaboration with schools, service providers and other non-profit organizations to help youth and families be successful. OHB is a community-based organization that serves young men and women ages 12-24 through: Inspiration Hill Residential Care, Jacobs’ Place Transitional Living and Branching Out Independent Living.
