Wayne Brown has joined the Omaha Community Foundation as Vice President of Operations. Brown will oversee the operations of the Foundation, assist in leading the Foundation’s strategic direction and extend the Foundation’s reach within the Omaha community.

Brown has spent the past 5 years with the Avenue Scholars group, an organization aimed at providing support for students from high school, through college and into successful employment in the workforce. His work with Avenue Scholars during the organization’s tremendous growth gives Brown good strategic and scaling experience. A native of Omaha, Brown joined the Army after high school, graduated Magna cum laude from East Tennessee State University and attended Creighton Law School. He lives in Omaha with his wife and two daughters.

The Omaha Community Foundation’s mission is to promote philanthropy in our community. It serves the people who give through the Foundation and the local nonprofits. More than $906 million has been granted to nonprofits on behalf of donors since the Foundation was created in 1982.
