NorthStar Foundation is pleased to announce that Debra Johnson has joined their staff as Director of Programming.  President Scott Hazelrigg emphasizes that her ability to connect with students and families in the community and her proven track record of developing and implementing programs which support student growth, academic achievement and employment readiness will definitely be an asset as they move toward opening in May 2014.  Johnson comes to NorthStar from the Hope Center for Kids, where she was the Director of Programs and Operations.  She has established herself as an authentic and dedicated leader with a track record of success in creating and developing programs to impact youth, and has worked in the North Omaha community for over 10 years.  NorthStar is pleased to have Johnson on staff as the organization moves toward implementation of its program delivery to North Omaha’s male youth in 5th-12th grades.

The NorthStar Foundation is set to complete program facility construction in May 2014, and will begin outreach programming this summer as well as launching its continuum of after-school programming in August 2014.  For more information on how NorthStar is guiding young men to become healthy, educated, employed contributors to their community, please contact Ashten Hughes at (402) 614-6360 x 206 or ashten@northstar360.org.
