Nebraska Hospital Association Welcomes Margaret Woeppel and David DeVries
On July 23, Margaret Woeppel, MSN, RN, CPHQ joined the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) (nebraskahospitals.org) as vice president of Quality Initiatives. As a registered nurse, Margaret spent 13 years at Bryan Health in Lincoln. She served as a regional services consultant for 48 Heartland Health Alliance Hospitals and was both a clinical research liaison and flight nurse. In addition, she held the position of rural division quality officer, where she oversaw quality in both owned and managed facilities. Margaret currently serves as president of the Nebraska Rural Health Association and is a National Rural Health Association Rural Health Congress member.
David DeVries joined the NHA in early August as a health data analyst. David worked for Nebraska Health and Human Services as the epidemiology surveillance coordinator for the Division of Behavioral Health. Prior to this role, he was a health surveillance specialist with DHHS in the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention program. He’s also worked as an analyst for the Lincoln Regional Center, Mutual of Omaha and UNMC.
