NAWIC Greater Omaha Member Earns 2nd Construction Industry Endorsement

Jennifer Harris, project administrator for JE Dunn in Omaha and a National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC; www.nawicomaha.com) Greater Omaha Chapter #116 member, has earned her second NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) industry endorsement. Jennifer earned the Construction Industrial Technician (CIT) certificate in August 2018 and recently passed the exam for the Construction Document Technician (CDT) while in Atlanta, GA to attend the 2019 NAWIC Annual Conference.

There are five exams offered by NEF. The other three include Estimating and Scheduling Practioner (ESP), Construction Industry Specialist (CIS), and Construction Bookkeeping Technician (CBT).

The core purpose of NEF is to educate the construction industry today and tomorrow. Its goals are to provide quality education programs for the construction industry and to promote the benefits of a career in the industry. NEF was founded in 1972 by volunteers from NAWIC who saw a need for quality training programs in the construction industry.

Jennifer went to work at JE Dunn in February 2011 and joined the NAWIC Greater Omaha Chapter in November 2015 with the goal of furthering her education in the construction industry without enrolling in a four-year college program.

The National Association of Women in Construction is an international organization of women working in and around the construction industry. Its core purpose is to enhance the success of women in the industry through education, networking, and leadership opportunities.
