MLCDC Announces New Board President Aretha Boex

Midlands Latino Community Development Center (MLCDC, midlandslatinocdc.org) is proud to present Aretha Boex, MBA, MS, EDFP, CGBP as the president of the Board of Directors. Boex is replacing Marcos Hernadez who will remain on the board as immediate past president. MLCDC would like to thank Mr. Hernandez for leading the MLCDC board through a transition period during the last two years.

Boex is an Associate State Director for the Nebraska Business Development Center based in Omaha who organizes, oversees business plans, trains, and hires other directors and staff, writes grants proposals, and manages program budgets. Boex has a master’s degree in business administration and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has a Graduate Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design. She is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council and a Certified Global Business Professional. She is the author of White Papers, which is about why cash flow is more important than profits.

Aretha joined MLCDC’s board of directors in 2019 and will now take the position as the president of the Board of Directors. Boex will serve the Board with her leadership and expertise in business planning, financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, commercial loan applications, and SBA loan packaging.
