Governor Jim Pillen has appointed a new executive director for MENTOR Nebraska (mentornebraska.org), an organization focused on increasing the quality and availability of mentoring services across the state. Melissa Mayo was appointed to fill the position reserved for a Nebraskan with expertise in educational, training and development needs of youth. She’ll help fuel community impact by guiding AmeriCorps funding across the state and encouraging Nebraskans to give back to the community through service.
