The Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) promoted Greg Youell from Transportation and Data Manager to Executive Director starting August 1, 2012. Youell took over for retiring Executive Director, Paul F. Mullen. Youell joined MAPA in 2002 as a transportation planner before he was promoted to Transportation and Data Manager in 2008.
Joining MAPA and filling Youell’s position is Michael Felschow who previously served as Transportation Project Manager for the U.S. Department of Defense Washington Headquarter Services in Washington D.C. (The Pentagon). At MAPA he will oversee the development and administration of the Transportation Improvement Program, Long Range Regional Transportation Plan, and the implementation of special transportation projects.
Melissa Engel joins the MAPA team as the Administrative Services Director. Her primary duties include: grant management, budget development and monitoring, human resources and Civil Rights / Title VI and DBE compliance. Melissa, a CPA, has 8 years experience in public accounting working with nonprofits and local governments.
