The Nebraska Credit Union League honored Larry Andreasen, longtime member of the Board of Directors of Columbus Untied Federal Credit Union as the 2012 Volunteer of the Year during its Annual Awards banquet on June 8th.
Larry retired from the Board of Directors of Columbus United Federal Credit Union after 25 years of continuous services. During his time on the Board he served as Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
According to Larry’s nomination letter what sets Larry apart from the average volunteer is his long term commitment, deep sense of responsibility and absolute dependability. In his past position as the Human Resource Manager at one of Columbus’ largest employers, Larry rarely missed a chance to promote the credit union. When called upon for duties above and beyond normal board activities, he responded. He has shown that he cares about the credit union and took his responsibilities very seriously.
