Kutak Rock Adds Six Attorneys in Omaha

The national law firm Kutak Rock LLP (KutakRock.com) is pleased to announce the addition of six lawyers to its Omaha office: Sarah Duchnak, Gregory Grattan, Matthew Marvin, Michael Ramirez, Joshua Weiner and Andrew Whealy join the firm as associates.

Duchnak is a member of the tax credit practice group. She represents participants in the affordable housing credit industry. Duchnak earned a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2016 and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. She is licensed currently in the State of California.

Grattan works in the tax credit practice group and focuses on transactions involving low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy tax credits, as well as other related state and federal financing products. Grattan’s J.D. is from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011. His B.A. is from the University of Georgia in 2005. He is admitted to practice in Nebraska.

Marvin joins the corporate department working primarily in the intellectual property and information technology group. He earned a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2016 and served as Executive Editor of the Nebraska Law Review. He holds a B.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. He is licensed to practice in Nebraska.

Ramirez is an associate in the litigation department and a member of the financial services litigation practice group. He focuses on matters involving alleged violations of federal and state securities laws, residential mortgage lender liability, and complex commercial disputes. He holds a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2012 and an undergraduate degree from Boston College in 2008. He is licensed to practice in Nebraska, the District of Columbia and Maryland.

Weiner joins the litigation department and will focus on commercial litigation. His J.D. is from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2014. His B.A. is from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2010. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Nebraska.

Whealy is a member of the tax credit practice where he focuses on new markets, historic rehabilitation, low-income and renewable energy tax credits as well as other related state and federal financing products. He earned a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2008; and a B.A. from Yale University in 2002. He is licensed to practice in Nebraska.
