Husch Blackwell’s Omaha office has once again expanded its Banking & Finance team; Drew C. Sova has joined the firm as an associate. Sova comes to Husch Blackwell from Omaha Title & Escrow, where most recently he served as its general counsel. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day legal issues of the company, he managed the various title requests and closing deadlines of all commercial files. During this time he also co-taught a Nebraska Real Estate Commission-approved continuing education class titled, “Considering the Finer Points in a Commercial Real Estate Transaction.” While earning his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law, Sova spent two years clerking at an Omaha-area law firm. Previously, he began his professional career as a staff auditor at “Big Four” accounting firm Deloitte. Sova earned his B.S.B.A. in accounting from Creighton University in 2006. He was a four-time member of the dean’s list; recipient of a Creighton Academic Scholarship; and a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honor organization for accounting students and professionals.
