HSMC Orizon LLC, a tax, accounting and technology consulting firm, announces the promotion of Don Shimmin, CPA, to Audit Manager in the Assurance Services department.
In this role, Don will manage audit engagements and staff with clients in higher education, government and business for HSMC Orizon. Before joining HSMC Orizon in 2010, Shimmin worked in audit services for a national accounting firm in Chicago. He holds a Master of Accountancy and Information Systems from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
