Hightower Reff Law (hrlawomaha.com), a law firm in Omaha is pleased to announce the promotion of Tosha Rae Heavican to the position of partner with the firm. With three partners and a total of nine attorneys, Hightower Reff Law is an all-female team helping clients with family law and divorce cases, criminal defense, estate planning, workers’ compensation, immigration law, and business planning.
Tosha became an associate with the firm in 2018 and focuses her practice on estate planning and probate, business law, contracts, guardianship and conservatorships, and adoptions. She has turned her lifelong enthusiasm for helping others into a legal career that’s both professionally successful and personally rewarding.
With a background in print media and communications, Tosha is passionate about legal writing, review, and research, and she taught legal writing as an adjunct professor with the College of Saint Mary’s paralegal program. As a court visitor, she has assisted adult disabled persons through the guardianship process and helped families navigate the complicated probate system after the passing of a loved one. She enjoys advising families of all shapes and sizes on estate planning tools they can use to help protect their futures.
Tosha received her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Doane University. She was named to the 2017-2018 Nebraska Bar Leadership Academy and enjoys being an active member of both the Nebraska and Iowa bars. She has been voted winner of Omaha Magazine’s Best of Omaha in estate planning for the last two years.
