The Greater Omaha Chamber is pleased to announce the hiring of Kody Schrader as its new senior director of entrepreneurship and innovation as of October 1. He will primarily work to build the region’s “entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem” by collaborating with, advocating for and actively engaging a range of innovation partners. Schrader brings his own innovation experience to the position. Prior to joining the Chamber team, he served as a customer innovation ‘intrapreneur’ with Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) where he led the ideation and execution of the company’s first customer portal and first mobile application.

In his new position, Schrader will help cultivate entrepreneurial and innovative ideas, activities and people by connecting entrepreneurs to assistance and programming; facilitating the development of funding for startup companies; developing opportunities to attract new ventures to – and retain existing ventures in – the Greater Omaha region; and coordinating programs to improve the “human capital pipeline” for the region’s entrepreneurs and innovators.

Schrader received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and his Bachelor of Science degree from Doane College. He co-founded FCSAmerica’s first young professionals group and served as a 2012 member of Greater Omaha Chamber’s YP Choice Award Selection Committee.
