The Principal Financial Group has announced that Gary Karthauser, CLU®, ChFC®, CLF® will lead the Great Plains Business Center. Gary Karthauser steps into the role of Regional Managing Director, as Cliff Karthauser retires after 33 years with the organization. Cliff started his career with The Nebraska Agency of The Principal Financial Group in 1981 and has spent the last 23 years as the Regional Managing Director. Gary Karthauser and his team will continue to focus on the development and profitability of the Great Plains Business Center by attracting, training, motivating and retaining advisors.
Gary Karthauser has more than 34 years working in the insurance/financial services industry, most recently serving as the Managing Director at the Great Plains Business Center over the Nebraska region. He belongs to several industry organizations and has qualified 21 times for the company’s Middle Management Achievement Round Table (MART) award – three times as the top trophy winner. He was inducted into the Principal Financial Group Hall of Fame in 2005 as the first Managing Director in company history to earn this honor.
