Firefly Kids (firefly.kids) is proud to announce that Juana Martinez, Parent Educator, was nominated for the Arlene Steege Award at the Human Services Advisory Council’s annual holiday celebration this week. The award honors a human services professional who demonstrates exceptional dedication and commitment to supporting individuals and families in need, qualities that perfectly describe Juana.

Known for her unwavering advocacy, Juana consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the families she serves. She ensures that every family receives the support, guidance, and opportunities they deserve, leaving no stone unturned or resource underutilized. Her dedication was further recognized this year when she traveled to Washington, D.C., with the Executive Director of Early Head Start to elevate the voices and needs of young children and their families.

Juana never lets a family slip through the cracks. Her passion, persistence, and heart make a meaningful impact every single day, and the Firefly Kids team could not be more proud.
