Fernanda Nungaray Joins Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation Team
Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation (MLCDC, midlandslatinocdc.org) is pleased to announce that Fernanda Nungaray has been promoted to a Program Coordinator. Fernanda began as an intern at MLCDC in 2020 and graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in December with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Family and Community. She was also a Buffet scholar while attending UNO.
During her internship, Fernanda embraced the mission of MLCDC and the opportunity to work with a low- and moderate-income population in Omaha, the majority of whom are women who want to start a business to achieve financial stability and provide for their families. She played an important role as an intern for the agency to provide the technical assistance to all participants in a timely manner. As a Program Coordinator, Fernanda will provide support to financial education, industry training, and the leadership and entrepreneurship programs in MLCDC and will maintain the client database. Fernanda is excited for this opportunity and looks forward to contributing to the growth of the Omaha community.
MLCDC is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing bilingual technical assistance to low- and moderate-income populations to achieve financial stability through entrepreneurship. In March 2020, MLCDC launched a financial education program to support individuals affected by COVID-19. To learn more about MLCDC, visit midlandslatinocdc.org or call (402) 933-4466.
