Clearwater Counseling’s Jessica Frenzen Advocates for Suicide Prevention

On December 10, Clearwater Counseling, PC (clearwatercounselingpc.org) Mental Health Therapist Jessica Frenzen participated as a panelist for the Suicide Prevention Town Hall Event hosted by the Kim Foundation. She and other mental health professionals discussed suicide prevention, COVID-19 in relation to mental health, available resources, and the importance of staying connected during the holiday season. The event also included a Q&A, during which panelists offered their expert advice. Project Harmony invited Jessica to participate, as she is a provider for the Connections Program at Project Harmony, a Clearwater Counseling community partner that offers professional, evidence-based therapy to students needing mental health care. The event was especially timely and critical given that research shows the pandemic directly impacting mental health.

“Servings as a panelist for the Suicide Prevention Town Hall Event allowed me a special opportunity to shed light on the importance of mental health, especially during these unprecedented times,” Jessica said. “I’m grateful to participate in events like this, which help to end the stigma surrounding mental health by involving the entire community in the conversation.”
