Clearwater Counseling Expands Team with New Therapist, Vanessa Pruitt

Clearwater Counseling, PC (clearwatercounselingpc.org), a mental health services provider located in both Omaha and Grand Island, has recently welcomed Vanessa L. Pruitt, provisionally licensed mental health practitioner to its team of therapists at its Grand Island location.

Vanessa, who received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Kearney and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University, has clinical experience providing individual, group, and couples counseling to a diverse population of adults and young adults, including people of varied race/ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation, with mild to severe mental health disorders.

Vanessa’s approach to therapy integrates attachment, mentalization, and somatosensory-based psychotherapies, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, Vanessa has specific training in trauma and complex trauma. Her special interests include anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders.
