American National Bank Welcomes Emer Murphy, Samual McKelvey and Deric Poldberg
American National Bank (www.american.bank) is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees to the American National Bank team.
Emer Murphy joins the bank as senior manager treasury services operations. With over 12 years of extensive analytical and transactional processing leadership, Emer will help lead the treasury services operational teams across the bank implementing new systems, processes and expansion of product strategy and development. In her previous role, she was chief product owner for all transaction applications and manager of ACH and Wire Operations.

Ms. Murphy is a graduate of Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences with a B.A. in Political Science, the University of Edinburgh with a B.A. in Political Theory and earned an M.A. from Creighton University in International Relations. Emer holds certifications as a Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master.
Samuel McKelvey has been named vice president and will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing client relationships with real estate developers and investors in diverse industry segments throughout the bank’s geographic footprint. Mr. McKelvey has been in the banking industry for over 12 years gaining a wide range of experience as a relationship manager implementing strategic initiatives to increase loan production and leading regional operations in deposit and growth expansion.

His extensive experience building relationships and expertise in product solutions will ensure delivery of exceptional financial value to our clients,” said Brian Andersen, commercial real estate team leader.
Mr. McKelvey received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Strategy from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School, Chapel Hill, NC.
Deric Poldberg has been promoted from business banking service specialist to commercial banker. Deric will be responsible for developing new commercial loan and deposit relationships along with servicing an existing portfolio of commercial clients.
“Deric is a welcome addition to our commercial team. His enthusiasm, knowledge of the industry, and deep roots in the Council Bluffs community will facilitate further growth within the region. Deric received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN.
