American National Bank recently announced that Omaha residents Art Burtscher, Wende Kotouc and Doug Wilwerding have been elected to the American National Bank board of directors.

Art Burtscher is the past chairman of McCarthy Group Advisors, LLC, which was sold to Westwood Holdings Group in 2010. He serves Westwood as president, western region, focusing on investment and trust services. Prior to that, Burtscher was president and CEO of Great Western Bank, vice chair and executive vice president of Vistar Bank, and vice president of First National Lincoln.

Wende Kotouc had a 13-year career with McDonald’s Corporation in their corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill. From there she served as executive vice president of Operations for Willow Creek Association, a global nonprofit organization. Kotouc’s board work includes Creighton Prep High School, College of St. Mary, Embrace the Heartland, Family Housing Advisory Services, Imagine Omaha, Omaha Community Foundation-Oxygen Group, West Hills Church and the Women’s Fund of Greater Omaha.

Founder and managing principal of The Optimas Group, LLC, Doug Wilwerding guides the capitalization and management of companies focused on finance and technology. Previously, he spent more than 20 years in the accounts receivable management industry with Omnium Worldwide, Inc., and has served in leadership positions on industry boards in both the consumer credit and health insurance sectors.
