Open Door Mission’s (www.opendoormission.org) Timber lake Outreach Center at 2107 E Locust St. has been undergoing renovations since April, and will be ready to open back up in mid to late August.

A variety of renovations were performed during this time. The floor tile was removed and the entire floor was polished, shelving is being set up in a new and improved design with ample space for volunteers, lighting is being converted to LED, and the interior will receive a new coat of paint. Also in the works are a new exit sliding door, two rollup doors, and a cart coral. All of these improvements will make it a better shopping experience for the community who can come once a month for food pantry, clothing, diapers, and household items.

Open Door Mission’s Council Bluffs Outreach Center at 1612 Avenue D is open for food pantry and other items Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 4p.m. for those needing it while the Timberlake Outreach Center is closed.
