Open Door Mission Invites Community to Volunteer on MLK Day of Service January 17

On Monday, January 17, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Open Door Mission (www.opendoormission.org) invites you to volunteer to make an impact on their campus. Volunteers will work on big projects on Open Door Mission’s campus, located at 2828 N 23rd St. East during two-hour shifts beginning at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“In this one day, we are praying that many volunteers will provide manpower that will go unmatched!” said President and CEO Candace Gregory. “It will literally impact the lives of homeless and near-homeless individuals and families. What a blessing! It’s a remarkable way to celebrate and honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”

Dr. King challenged us to build a more perfect union and taught us that everyone has a role to play in making America what it ought to be. Find out how you can contribute to this and sign up to volunteer at www.opendoormission.org/holiday-volunteer-opportunities.
