Onsite Volunteers Return to MICAH House, Classes and Programs Now Available

MICAH House (www.themicahhouse.org) is pleased to announce that they have begun accepting volunteer applications for individuals and groups once again!

Previously, community members would donate their time and talents in service of the families and women living at MICAH House before the pandemic hit in March 2020. As a congregate care facility, MICAH House had to shut its doors to the volunteer program for the safety of their clients and volunteers. Now that volunteers will be returning to MICAH House, the organization can offer classes and programs to clients that remained on hold during the last two years.

MICAH House’s small but mighty staff can only accomplish so many things in a day’s time. Having reliable volunteers makes such a powerful impact on the level of care provided to clients. Even in the smallest or humblest moments of service, MICAH House strives for volunteers to feel connected, helpful, and empowered. If you or your group are interested in volunteering opportunities at MICAH House, please contact Marketing and Community Development Specialist Jenny Andersen at jandersen@themicahhouse.org / (712) 323-4416 Ext. 2101 for more information.

Founded in 1986, MICAH House is a transitional homeless shelter that serves families and women in the Omaha-Metro area and Southwest Iowa. MICAH House provides safe shelter, nutritious meals, health care access, and adult education classes as individuals seek a better tomorrow. For more information, visit www.themicahhouse.org.
