The Greater Omaha Young Professionals are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2014 Young Professionals Choice Award, an honor recognizing companies that excel in recruiting, developing and retaining young professionals.
The 2014 finalists are:
• ConAgra Foods, one of North America’s leading food companies
• DLR Group, an integrated design firm providing architecture, engineering, planning, and interior design
• Goodwill Industries Inc., serving Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, a not-for-profit that provides job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs
• TD Ameritrade, A Fortune 1000 online brokerage company
The selection committee will be touring and listening to 10-minute young professional presentations at each finalist company. Committee members will then evaluate each finalist based on a list of criteria, including: community involvement, communication, community advocacy, diverse workforce, inclusive workplace, professional and personal growth, trust in company leadership, work-life balance, and young professional leadership. The winner of the YP Choice Award, sponsored by UMB Bank, will be announced during the 2014 Young Professionals Summit on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
