Youth Emergency Services Receives $20K Grant from Lincoln Financial Foundation

Youth Emergency Services (YES, www.yesomaha.org) recently received a $20,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation. YES plans to use the grant to fund its continuum of services programming. All financial focus remains on providing food, shelter, and programming for youth experiencing homelessness and near-homelessness in the Omaha community.

“We are incredibly grateful for the Lincoln Financial Foundation’s continued support of YES and the youth that we serve,” said YES Director of Development Barb Farho. “We are proud to call them a community partner that we know we can depend upon to help YES fulfill its mission of working toward ending youth homelessness.”

Lincoln Financial Foundation awards grants to hundreds of nonprofits each year that empower and improve the lives of people in their communities. Contributing to strong, vital communities is not only intrinsic to our values, it’s our responsibility.

Youth Emergency Services is the only nonprofi t in Omaha with the sole mission to help youth experiencing homelessness and near-homelessness. Many of these youth have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, making it unsafe for them to return home. Without YES, these vulnerable young people cannot succeed independently. YES offers a full continuum of care to ensure all youth receive the support they need, no matter their situation. Learn more about YES at www.yesomaha.org.
