This holiday season, the YMCA of Greater Omaha (metroymca.org) is inviting the community to “Shine a Light on the Community” and help make a positive difference in the lives of families and neighbors through a year-end contribution. Every donation helps expand access to vital YMCA programs, including youth sports, swimming lessons, day camps, family memberships and more. The YMCA’s goal is to provide life-enriching opportunities for children, seniors and cancer survivors alike, regardless of income or background.

“With every year-end gift, we’re able to extend opportunities to more families who need us most,” said Rebecca Deterding, YMCA of Greater Omaha President and CEO. “These contributions help us create spaces for health, learning and connection, impacting families and individuals throughout our community.”

Donors are invited to choose from various impactful giving options, such as sponsoring a youth sports season scholarship for $45, a summer day camp week for $100 or a three-month family membership for $125. Gifts can also support senior wellness programs, early childhood education and the Y’s 12-week LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program for cancer survivors.

Each donation made to the YMCA’s Holiday Giving campaign directly funds scholarships and programs that foster healthier, happier lives across Omaha. To make a gift, visit metroymca.org/give and select the ‘Holiday Giving’ campaign under your selected location.
