Wear Yellow Nebraska Calls for Sponsors for 17th Annual Bike Ride and Fun Run

Wear Yellow Nebraska (www.wearyellownebraska.org) recently announced that they are seeking sponsors for the 2020 Bike Ride and Fun Run. Wear Yellow Nebraska hosts the region’s largest one-day bike ride and fun run each May. The year 2020 will be the 17th annual fundraising event that supports Nebraska’s cancer survivor community with needed transportation services.

Organizing the ride and run begins months in advance of the event, and procuring sponsors is the same. Board member Craig Kelley leads the sponsorship drive on behalf of Wear Yellow Nebraska. Beginning with a kick-off event in January, calls are made to previous sponsors. Last year the David Spence Cancer Fund provided a dollar-for-dollar sponsor match which allowed for greater leverage for local companies.

Sponsors appreciate and enjoy the benefits of supporting the organization’s mission through a fun active-lifestyle event. Aligning their business with a completely volunteer-driven organization and quality event creates brand exposure and provides unique marketing and community relations opportunities.

Wear Yellow Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a clear focus on niche initiatives that offered cancer survivors support in ways that weren’t being addressed and for people who would otherwise fall through the cracks, truly caring for an individual’s special circumstances.
