Vision Maker Media (visionmakermedia.org) and The Ross Media Arts Center Native American Film Series 2024 are screening What Was Ours, a story of a young journalist and a teenage powwow princess traveling with an elder in search of missing artifacts in the Chicago Field Museum’s archives. They discover a trove of ancestral cultural objects, setting them on a journey of repatriation and hopeful reconnection.

The screening takes place Monday, November 11, at 7 p.m. at The Ross Media Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public. For all shows and times, visit theross.org or the Ross hot line at (402) 472-5353.

The Native American Film Series features artist profiles, musical performances, family stories and documentaries on historical figures and traditions. Screenings in this monthly series are the second Monday of each month in 2024.
