United Way of the Midlands is proud to announce that they will be celebrating 90 years of serving the Omaha Metro Area and plans to ring in the New Year with a firm resolution: to serve the most vulnerable among us and to drive measurable change on key community needs identified by local citizens and organizations.  In its 90th anniversary year, United Way will continue to strengthen the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area with its well-known safety net of health and human services. United Way also will focus on changing people’s lives at a community level, by embracing citizen feedback through the community needs assessment and strengthening collaboration with local organizations to marshal the resources for the community, and champion those who are in the fight for a better life. Their goal is to change the face of poverty, for the benefit of the next generation.

United Way is a community-based, community-focused organization, which was created when members of the business community, civic groups, the faith community and ordinary citizens came together to address the needs in the metro area.  United Way thanks those who share their strength to make United Way COMMUNITY STRONG.
