Unarmed Forces is holding the seventh annual Night For Kids event to raise money and toys for Toys for Tots on Friday, December 6th at 8:30 p.m. This event will be held at The Hideout Lounge, located at 320 S. 72nd Street (72nd & Farnam) and the entry fee will be $8 or $5 with a new, unopened toy donation.  This event raises awareness for Toys for Tots and provides an outlet for people to give while enjoying some of the best local entertainment around. The Clincher Band will be headlining, and Aly Peeler, Jon Knobbe, John Larsen, Eric Sayre and Thrift Shop Radio will also be playing. The variety show will also include poetry by Justin Gilbreath and comedy by Kevin “Chicken Boy” Heesacker. There will be a raffle and a “celebrity auction” featuring local entertainers to help raise even more money for this worthy cause.

The Unarmed Forces is a group started by Michael Norwood in 2006 to raise money for various local charities. Through the efforts of many volunteers and local businesses, more than $11,000 and hundreds of toys have been given to charity over the years by way of this annual event.  For more information about Unarmed Forces, contact Michael Norwood at (402) 714-1301 or by email at helpoutthehouse07@yahoo.com.
