Monthly Nights at The Joslyn (joslyn.org) events are evenings for art immersion. Come out for gallery talks, live music, art making, special programs and tasty food and drinks (for purchase). The event is on Thursday, November 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Joslyn Museum, 2200 Dodge St.

This month you’re getting to know the American art collection, which has been reinstalled with an emphasis on the Great Plains to explore past and present artmaking in North America as a diverse and collective experience. Drop in for variety of activities offered throughout the evening, and don’t miss the featured Curator Conversation, 6-6:45 pm, when members of their curatorial staff share stories and insights about the reinstallation of the American Art galleries.

Joslyn Art Museum was a gift to the people of Omaha from Sarah Joslyn in memory of her husband, George. From its first day, November 29, 1931, to today, the Museum has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world. The Joslyn’s collection of over 12,000 objects represents 5,000 years of human creativity and the world’s diverse cultures. The campus comprises three stunning buildings—distinct yet connected—surrounded by sculpture gardens. Learning and engagement opportunities abound, and general admission is free to all, always.
