The YMCA (www.metroymca.org) is proud to announce the success of their 2023 programs, services and the collective impact had on the greater Omaha community.

Thousands of members are living healthier lives because of the YMCA, providing wellness resources and support. Over 3,000 free Get Started Appointments were completed with Wellness Coaches, while 291 individuals actively participated in community-based wellness programs such as LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, Weight Loss program and Brain & Body initiatives.

Over 15,000 young people experienced teamwork and character development through youth sports, including eSports. Moreover, 1,569 school-age youth discovered connection and community in engaging summer day camp programs.

Safety took center stage as 4,821 youth learned essential water safety practices and participated in swim lessons. In addition, 421 children received invaluable education and care in YMCA Early Learning Centers.

The YMCA has a significant impact on seniors, with 18,244 members gaining access to low-impact exercise and social programs. Importantly, over $1 million in financial assistance was awarded to ensure critical access to YMCA programs and services, benefiting 7,646 individuals of all ages.

Furthermore, the YMCA collaborated with various organizations to give back to the community through free flu shot clinics, shoe drives, water safety education, welcoming-diversity events, youth support staff training and YMCA Healthy Kids Day.
