The Rose House Opens Food Pantry, Announces Diaper Drive and Giveaway
More exciting announcements keep coming out about the The Rose House (www.therosehouseinc.org), a recently-launched local nonprofit for single mothers. Last month, the organization opened a food pantry at their new office space located at 8611 Blondo St. to serve their program participants. The pantry will serve by appointment only and each guest is allowed to visit the pantry twice per month. In addition, The Rose House is organizing a diaper drive and giveaway initiative on October 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., which will also be held at the office. Food collection efforts are being taken to prevent further food insecurity and the diaper drive will provide diapers to those who may not be able to afford them. The Rose House is passionate about helping people meet these basic needs.
Founded by TaRae Peoples, The Rose House was created to assist in the life transformations of families, providing basic life skills and employment training, temporary housing, and mental health support, as well as self-empowerment tools. Stop by The Rose House between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or go online to www.therosehouseinc.org to learn more.
