The Hope Center for Kids Partners with Life Cure Foundation to Offer Yoga Therapy

An inspiring new partnership has been formed between Life Cure Foundation and The Hope Center for Kids (www.hopecenterforkids.org). Together they are providing yoga therapy to the seniors of the Schennzel Community Center. Life Cure Foundation has a mission to love, inspire, and empower at risk youth and adults who deal with poor economic conditions. Their focus is centered around wellness practices to help people rehabilitate back into good health.

The seniors at the Schenzel Community Center gather weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to socialize, workout, attend classes, and eat a meal together. During the program, seniors practice a variation of chair yoga and postures on the mat. The goal of the program is for seniors to walk away with exercises they can use on a daily basis for pain management and wellness. Partnering with Life Cure Foundation is giving seniors access to yoga practices that are shown to enhance health, increase mobility, and strengthen posture.
