The Hope Center for Kids (hopecenterforkids.com) is excited to announce their next volunteer opportunity to connect individuals to the community through a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Come help the Hope Center for Kids serve the community of Omaha by providing warm food for families! Help them prepare over 400 meals, or assist with décor, set up, tear down and more! Any help is appreciated! The event is being hosted at the Schenzel Community Center, 2200 N 20th St., which exists to support both The Hope Center for Kids and the North Omaha community with low-cost and community-centric programs.

The Thanksgiving dinner is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, to Friday, November 22. Sign up today dash.pointapp.org/events/207687, or email them at aschanou@hopecenterforkids.com to get involved.

The Hope provides a safe after-school and summer program where children and youth can take part in academic support, youth development, faith-based learning opportunities and receive a hot meal every night. It all started with a vision in the heart of the late Pastor Ty Schenzel who saw the need for hope in the lives of kids who could not see beyond their circumstances, and his vision became a reality in 1998.
