The Daily House Respite B&B Awarded Grant from Bread for the Journey Omaha

The Daily House Respite B&B (www.thedailyhousene.com), founded by the Daily Yaymaker, was recently awarded a grant by Bread for the Journey Omaha. Bread for the Journey helps create vibrant communities one micro-grant at a time. When deciding which organizations to invest in, their board members look for vision, passion, and faith. As The Daily House Respite B&B continues to grow and mold their new concept of being a bed and breakfast for people with disabilities, they hope this grant is just one of many collaborations that will support their strategic planning.

The Daily House Respite B&B is designed to be a destination away from home that provides relief and relaxation for individuals with disabilities, as well as a retreat for their parents and caregivers. Once in operation, their services will include respite care and camps/rental camp sites for organizations that focus on the disabled population. The ultimate goal for the site is to also provide jobs within the bed and breakfast to people with disabilities, such as a cook, barista, security guard, landscape manager, etc. There will be a focus on employment skills through onsite learning and individualized training.
