The Jefferson House “Stand Up and Cheer for Kids” Comedy Night will be held on April 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the Midland University Hopkins Arena. All proceeds from the event will support the daily operating expenses of the Jefferson House Children’s Emergency Shelter, which provides a variety of programs for at-risk children. This event will offer heavy appetizers and both silent and live auctions, all while being entertained by local comedians Jim Kuddes, Don Bowen, Daniel Christensen and Jeff Castle.  For more information about the Jefferson House, please call (402) 721-5099.  To make a reservation, please visit the Heartland Family Service website at heartlandfamilyservice.org.

Heartland Family Service, founded in Omaha in 1875, is a non-profit, non-sectarian social work agency. HFS helps parents who struggle; couples who want to save their relationship; children who are removed from unsafe homes; teens who made the wrong decisions about alcohol, drugs or crime; survivors of family violence; low-income families–mostly women and children–who fall into homelessness; and many, many more who need a helping hand to get back on track.
