This year marks 50 years of Special Olympics Nebraska’s (sone.org) life-changing programming being offered to athletes across the state. To celebrate this milestone, they have created a “50 Stories for 50 Years” video series. This series shares the stories of the amazing people that make up the Special Olympics Nebraska movement.

The video series is ongoing and will go throughout the year, featuring athletes, volunteers, coaches, families, and employees at Special Olympics Nebraska. Previous videos have featured Special Olympics Nebraska Athlete Leader Haley Waggoner, President and CEO Carolyn Chamberlin, and many more impactful individuals. Videos are posted on YouTube (@SpecialOlympicsNE), and shared on Facebook (@sonebraska) and Twitter (@SONebraska). The collection of videos can also be viewed on Special Olympics Nebraska’s website.

Special Olympics Nebraska believes in ending discrimination and fear and building a future of justice and joy for over 6,000 individuals with and without intellectual disabilities across the state through programming in sports, health, education, and leadership.

Special Olympics Nebraska is celebrating 50 years of creating champions…and they’re not done yet! For more information about the movement, go to sone.org.
