Every day, Mosaic (mosaicinfo.org) works to relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people to live their best lives. With partnerships from other local nonprofits and organizations, Mosaic values how each different organization can make an impactful and meaningful life for those in their services.

For over 20 years, Mosaic in Omaha has partnered in various ways with Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (NLOM) to create connections that offer inclusive opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In recent years, the NLOM Jay Novicki Day Camp has been a great way for Mosaic in Omaha’s individuals to “enjoy a day at camp” at a Mosaic Day Services location and participate in a camp craft, activity, lunch, worship and everyone’s camp favorite – S’mores! Mosaic in Omaha also hosts their annual Inclusion Matters Picnic onsite at Carol Joy Holling Camp.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to provide adaptive camp activities to Mosaic participants through the Jay Novicki programs,” said Jason Gerdes, NLOM Executive Director. “It’s a joy and a privilege to experience camp together, and that’s why we’re honored to also host Mosaic’s Inclusion Matters picnic at camp each spring. Whether they can come to camp, or camp needs to come to them, everyone belongs at camp!”
