On Saturday, July 13, while some were playing golf, members of the Greater Omaha Remodelers Association – National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) were repairing the home of Omaha retiree Beverly Boone, so she can remain in her home as long as she’s able.  The NARI volunteers began working on Ms. Boone’s home July 6th by resetting concrete steps and pouring new concrete pads and pilasters for new, safe entries.  Craig Pernell is coordinating the project with NARI members who will re-set the steps and repair both front and back porches, repair the living room ceiling, complete bathroom repairs and other projects to make the home safe for Ms. Boone.  NARI is a national sponsor for Rebuilding Together and this is the first project the Greater Omaha Remodelers Association and Rebuilding Together Omaha have worked on together.  Rebuilding Together Omaha helps homeowners live safely in their homes. Repairs include: replacing and repairing flooring, windows and doors, fixing lighting, plumbing and installing handrails and grab bars, and more.

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership for the low-income elderly and disabled. Rebuilding Together affiliates revitalize neighborhoods by providing extensive rehabilitation and modification services to those in need at no cost to those served.
