Santa Monica House (santamonicahouse.org) is thrilled to have had the opportunity to speak at Metropolitan Community College. Students from MCC’s Community Resources Summer Quarter course learned about the care that happens at Santa Monica House, as well as challenges women face in recovery and victory stories that continue to give meaning to their resources.

The students asked thoughtful questions and engaged in meaningful discussions. They ended the session by writing encouraging cards for the women residing in Santa Monica House’s Halfway House.

Santa Monica House is grateful for opportunities to share meaningful stories and reduce stigma around women in addiction recovery, creating new community leaders and advocates.
