As many remember, Kerrie Orozco’s life ended during her shift on May 20, 2015 – the day before starting her maternity leave to be with her newborn daughter. She was an exceptional Omaha police officer who gave back to her community in many ways. One of her greatest contributions was volunteering as a coach for her baseball team.
ReRuns R Fun, the nation’s largest non-profit children’s consignment sale, will be honoring her memory by matching round up donations and giving them to Kerrie’s cause, PACE (Police Athletics for Community Engagement). From October 2-11 at the ReRuns R Fun Event Center, located at 8501 Granville Parkway in La Vista, thrifty parents and grandparents will have the opportunity to shop for great deals and also give back by “rounding up” their purchases. ReRuns will not only collect and donate these proceeds, but they will also match them, therefore doubling the donation amount!
